I decided that this morning I will not get up before I feel that I have slept. No alarms, no clocks - just sleep.
Around 7 o´clock in the morning my cell phone rings and lightens up the whole bedroom. It was so dark, so I thought it was in the middle of the night. It felt so too. I did not answer it in time but I saw that it was my dad. And when he phones at that time, then I know that something is wrong.
I phoned him back and he answered almost direct. He told me that he was at the hospital with my mother. She had slept the night in my room because my old bed is higher and it is easier for her to get up. Around 3 o´clock all was fine but some hours later my dad woke up when he heard a thud. He run to my mother and found her in the living room, on the floor. She was bleeding from her head because she hit the head on the living room table. Dad helped my mother up to the sofa, got a towel for the bleeding and phoned after an ambulance.
Now my mother is at a ward and will be there over the night for exams and check up. My father stayed for a while and then he went home to eat, shower and clean up the blood in the living room. All is stable right now with my mother even if she does not want to eat and has some difficulties with her balance.
We will know more later after all the tests.
Take care.
Hugs, Niina
